We welcome visitors to come into our space and support our community artists during the last week of Black Liberation Month. This year we are focusing on art, in its many forms. Our community artists will be on site selling their work, so please support! There will also be staff on hand to answer questions.

Also, BCSC is celebrating their 55th anniversary with a celebration on Saturday evening and you are invited to attend!

Black Community Services Center and Department of African & African American Studies Anniversary Celebration
Saturday, February 24 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm
The Cantor Arts Center

The Black Community Services Center (BCSC) and Department of African & African American Studies (DAAAS) invite you to our 55th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, February 24 from 6-10pm at the Cantor Arts Center. The theme of our 55th anniversary celebration is “Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Thinking Toward the Future.” To celebrate, we ask that you dress in emerald, gold, and/or white.

This event will begin at 6pm with a lineup of special guests to give remarks about BCSC and DAAAS focusing on the history, present, and future of these entities at Stanford. This year also marks the departmentalization of African and African American Studies, which will be included in the celebration.

Following the remarks, the celebration will begin at 7:30pm with a heavy bites featuring food from the African diaspora and dancing!
