Winter Performing Arts Festival

Winter Performing Arts Festival (WPAF) brings together over 20 student arts groups to teach, learn, and celebrate various art forms (dance, music, poetry, theatre, etc.) in workshops and performances. 

All Stanford students, faculty, staff, and affiliates are welcome to participate in workshops and watch the live performance.

Date: Friday, February 23, 2024
Time: Workshops 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.; Performance 6:45 - 8:15 p.m.

Stanford Light Opera Company Presents Mary Poppins

Nannies, umbrellas, accents, oh my! Join us as we travel across the London skyline and into the your hearts. Come see the classic musical! This performance takes place on-campus, at Dinkelspiel Auditorium (471 Lagunita Dr).

Anderson Collection

Stanford University is the home to the core of the Anderson Collection, one of the world’s most outstanding private assemblies of modern and contemporary American art. 

The museum is free and open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Wednesday–Sunday. Please check-in at the front desk upon arrival.

Tours are approximately one hour, are free, and do not require a reservation. Tours meet on the second floor at the top of the staircase. Note: these tours are open to the public and not exclusive to Family Weekend.

Cantor Arts Center

Serving the Stanford campus, the Bay Area community, and visitors from around the world, the Cantor Arts Center provides an outstanding cultural experience for visitors of all ages. 

The museum is free and open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Wednesday–Saturday. Reservations are not required, but are encouraged. Reserve your free tickets

Creative Writing Program

The Creative Writing Program offers nearly 100 courses a year and host dozens of readings, one-day workshops, and events. Through the English Department, we offer an English major with a Creative Writing emphasis.
