Frequently Asked Questions

Family Weekend is an annual university event to provide families of current undergraduate students a glimpse into their student’s life and experience at Stanford. Family Weekend is open to parents and families of currently enrolled Stanford undergraduate students in all four class years. 

Dates for the 2025 Family Weekend event have not yet been confirmed. Please check back on this site in Autumn quarter.

Only the Student Experience Sessions held on Friday and Saturday afternoon were recorded and available for viewing. These sessions can be viewed on our Recorded Sessions page.

Found items that were turned in during Family Weekend will be held until two weeks after the event. To inquire if your lost item was turned in and coordinate pickup, please email familyweekend@stanford.edu.

All families that registered to attend Family Weekend 2024 will be sent an email with a link to complete a survey. We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you. If you attended Family Weekend and did not receive a link to complete the survey, please email familyweekend@stanford.edu and we will send you a link to share your feedback.

Parents and guardians listed as contacts for currently enrolled undergraduate students are automatically included on our email list, unless they have opted out of email notifications from the university. Therefore, most individuals do not need to take any action to receive communications. Please note that we are currently revising our process for requests to be added and will provide updates in the Autumn quarter.
