Student Life Open Houses: Building Community and Belonging at Stanford

Join us as Stanford’s community centers and student life offices open their doors to families and students. These open houses celebrate the many ways students find connection, belonging, and support in their academic and personal journeys. All are welcome to explore our spaces, meet staff and student leaders, and learn about the programs that help every student thrive.

Programs are subject to change. Additional information will be added as details are confirmed. 

Asian American Activities Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Enjoy community and cultural connection at the Asian American Activities Center (A³C) Open House! Meet our team and learn how the A³C supports students. Community reception and student exhibition from 1 - 2:30 PM, all families welcome to drop-in throughout 1 - 5 PM. We look forward to meeting you!

Black Community Services Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The Black Community Services Center welcomes visitors to come into our space and support greater Bay Area vendors, the last week of Black Liberation Month. The 5th popup shop will run from 2-5p. This year we are also offering a panel discussion from families and current students from 1-2p in the Humanities building. There will also be staff on hand to answer questions during both events, so please stop by and check us out!

El Centro Chicano y Latino

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

El Centro Chicano y Latino invites students and families to our Open House this 2026 Family Weekend. Meet the staff, hear about student experiences, and enjoy some memorable performances by student-led groups! This experience is a beautiful opportunity for families to see comunidad here at Stanford. Refreshments provided.

First Generation and/or Low-Income Student Success Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Please join the FLI Student Success Center for a warm gathering rooted in community, connection, and shared support, with light refreshments. All are welcome—however you define family: chosen, biological, or the friendships and communities that sustain you. Come as you are to write a note to someone meaningful, or simply share space, build friendships, and connect. We look forward to being together.

Fraternity & Sorority Life

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Families and students are invited to join the Fraternity and Sorority Life team for an open house to learn more about the fraternity and sorority experience at Stanford and how our office supports students and their leadership development. Staff will be available to answer questions and connect with you and your families. Light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our space.

The Markaz: Resource Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The Markaz: Resource Center serves a vibrant community of students who are interested in Muslim experiences both here and around the world. Stop by our center's open house from 1:00 - 5:00 PM to connect with professional and student staff and meet other visiting families. From 2:00 - 3:30 PM, our affiliated student organizations will join us for "Ramadan Around the Globe," a celebration of community, culture, and tradition. The event will be fast-friendly with to-go bags that you and your loved ones can enjoy during iftar.

Native American Cultural Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Visit the Native American Cultural Center to meet and mix and mingle with our staff and students, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about our 50+ years of community and culture. All families and loved ones are warmly welcome.

Office for Military-Affiliated Communities

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Join us to learn more about The Office for Military-Affiliated Communities (OMAC) and how we assist student US or foreign veterans, their dependents, and ROTC cadets in successfully transitioning into and out of the Stanford community. We connect students to campus and community resources and support and advocate for our student veterans and ROTC cadets.

Office of Student Engagement

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The Office of Student Engagement staff and student interns invite you to learn more about student groups, peer facilitators and Cardinal Nights (substance-free) events. Participate in a craft paint day similar to one of our Cardinal Nights events, take a family photo and enjoy light snacks.

Queer Student Resources

We are excited to welcome you and your families, including chosen families, to the Fire Truck House, home of QSpot! Stop by to meet members of our student staff and say hello to our directors. If you have any questions about Queer Student Resources (QSR) or the support, programs, and resources available to Stanford’s queer community, we would love to connect with you and share more.

Women's Community Center

Friday, February 27, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

The Women's Community Center (WCC) welcomes students and families to an afternoon of shared meals and memory-making. Please join us from 1 - 2:30pm to make photos at our photobooth, decorate polaroid prints, and enjoy lunch together in a warm community space. All are welcome, and families are encouraged to drop in anytime during the event.

Calling all international families!! Please join the staff of Bechtel International Center for a reception to celebrate Stanford's vibrant international student community. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you, and we welcome your questions and concerns. Our open house is scheduled for Friday afternoon, from 2 - 4:30 pm. at Bechtel. See you then!

Disability Community Space (DisCo)

Stop by the Disability Community (DisCo) Space to be in community with disabled students, allies, and their families! Meet the DisCo team over some light refreshments and good company. We look forward to having you and sharing more about our community!

Haas Center for Public Service

Friday, February 27, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Join us to learn more about Haas Center programs and Cardinal Service, a university-wide effort to connect Stanford students with opportunities to serve locally, nationally, and around the world. Students and staff will be there to answer any questions!

Hillel at Stanford

Friday, February 27, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This is a drop-in opportunity for families to stop by Hillel at any time between 3:00–5:00 PM. Meet our staff and students, tour the space, and learn more about Jewish life on campus. No formal program — just an open house–style visit.

Hume Center Open House

Friday, February 27, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

You are invited to share writing, a song, or a favorite reading at the Hume Center’s annual Family Weekend open mic. Join Stanford students, instructors, and family members for an evening of lively, thoughtful poetry and prose. If you’d rather not read a short piece, come listen! Other family members are welcome to participate, too. Coffee, tea, and desserts are provided.
