Welcome from the President

Dear Stanford families and friends,

We look forward to welcoming you for this year’s Family Weekend, a fun and joyful Stanford tradition, on Feb. 23-24.

Family Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for your students to show you around our campus and introduce you to all of the things that make Stanford special to them. You’ll share a meal with your student in the dining hall, get to know their neighborhoods and residences, and meet their friends and peers. 

In addition to a window into your student’s life on campus, the weekend will provide an opportunity for you to attend specially-scheduled faculty lectures, visit open houses at our community centers and other campus organizations, learn more about university resources, and toast the Stanford Parents Club, which turns 100 this year. The weekend will close with a Family Weekend favorite: an outdoor festival featuring student performances, lawn games, great food, and more. 

I hope you will join us, and I look forward to welcoming you to our campus in person in February.
