Welcome from the President

Dear Stanford families and friends,

I look forward to welcoming you to campus for Family Weekend, February 24th – 25th. Family Weekend is a long-standing Stanford tradition, offering a window into your student’s life on campus. After a couple years of primarily virtual events, we are delighted to host an in-person weekend experience this February.

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll experience much of what makes Stanford special. You’ll have the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus, attend an academic lecture, share meals with your student in their dining hall, and more. There will be opportunities to experience live performances and Cardinal sporting events—and, of course, to spend time making new memories with your student, meeting their friends, and seeing Stanford through their eyes.

This year’s official Family Weekend programming will include a conversation with Provost Persis Drell and me. We’ll discuss Stanford’s approach to undergraduate education, share our thoughts about the university’s role in serving the broader world, and take your questions. This event will take place Friday morning and will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person.

I hope you are able to join us! We’re eager to see you in February, and I look forward to sharing Family Weekend with you.
